Big week in AI.

Below is a quick recap — plus a few actions you can take to help shape what comes next.

Working on a computer? Viro works on the web too — where every AI conversation helps fund renewable energy instead of fossil fuels.

Sign the Renewable Energy Petition

For many Americans, this winter is either the coldest of their lives — or the warmest.

Climate change doesn’t look the same everywhere.
But the long-term trend is clear.

At the same time, electricity demand is surging — partly because of AI.

The good news: solar and wind are now cheaper and faster to build than coal.

EarthDay.org launched a global petition calling on leaders to triple renewable energy by 2030.

If AI is going to power the future, it should run on clean energy.

ChatGPT vs Claude vs USA War Department

OpenAI (aka ChatGPT) just signed a big $ contract to provide AI for U.S. military and intelligence operations. Translation: helping the government build smarter surveillance and weapons systems.

Anthropic (aka Claude) immediately pushed back, saying AI companies shouldn't help spy on Americans. Trump orders US agencies to stop using Claude, labeling Anthropic a “supply chain risk“ jeopardizing their current corporate contracts.

Then it got messy:

Turns out the motto "don't be evil" only lasts until defense contract $$$ shows up.

What’s New: Make Music With AI (Ethically)

Most AI music tools steal artists’ work.

Soundbreak doesn’t.

We partnered with Soundbreak to make their platform eco-friendly, so now you can write songs with AI versions of real musicians.

You can now:

  • Write lyrics

  • Generate melodies — even full songs

  • Release directly to streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music)

Same idea as Viro:
AI that creates without exploiting creators.

AI’s Dystopian Future?

The Dor Brothers released a parody that feels a little too believable.

In their video, humans power AI by working out at a gym called “Energym.”

Spin bikes. Rowing machines.
All generating electricity for the AI machines that replaced their jobs.

It’s satire.

But the underlying point is real: AI’s energy demand is exploding.

How will we power it?

  • Fossil fuels 👎

  • Human labor 👎

  • Clean energy

One more reminder: with Viro you can choose your AI — ChatGPT, Claude, and other top models — all in one place.

Use the tools you align with.
Help power clean energy while you do it.
